Project Manager

Do you have solid construction experience in residential remodeling? Are you someone who can manage and lead a team? Are you looking for a company that is growing and is dedicated to quality craftsmanship? We are looking for an on-site project manager who can help our family-owned company keep growing. 

Thayer Construction is a design build home remodeler located in Corvallis Oregon. We design, manage, and construct residential remodeling projects including rough carpentry and finish work. This ranges from smaller projects like kitchens, bathrooms, bearing wall removals on up to larger projects such as total basement remodels and whole home interior and exterior renovations. We’ve been in business for 5 years and like to think we’re just getting started. 

We need a bags-on project manager to carry out our remodel projects, someone with an eye for crafting beautiful spaces. We need someone who cares about the clients as much as we do. We’re looking for someone who is dedicated to high standards of client satisfaction, and to run a safe job site. We need someone who has great leadership and communication skills. You’ll be managing our most critical relationships: our team, subs, and clients.

All our work is custom and we need someone who is self-directed and a great problem solver. We do our best to give our clients an amazing experience – with clear communication, attention to detail, and clean worksites. We value high levels of craftsmanship and personal accountability. 

Your goal is to create a work environment that our team and subs enjoy working in and keep our clients happy and informed. From project handoff by Production Manager to project completion, you are the point of contact.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand residential systems, codes, and order of operations.
  • Rough and finish carpentry, cabinetry, roofing, siding, windows and door installation, flooring, drywall finishing, paint, tile, basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and natural gas.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks at construction sites that require extensive physical labor, including lifting, climbing, bending, digging, and operating hand and power tools for 8–10 hours a day. 
  • Able to lift 60 lbs. Repeatedly.
  • Interacting with clients on a daily basis in person and through text/email.
  • Adjusting schedule with subcontractors
  • Keep job sites efficient, organized, and clean

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in a similar position.
  • 1+ Years experience supervising others preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Reliable vehicle (after a period of time we can discuss a company vehicle).
  • Provide your own basic carpentry tools.
  • An eye for crafting beautiful spaces.
  • Great at managing organized and clean worksites.
  • Enjoy interacting with clients.
  • Experience motivating a team.
  • Must be able to read plans and build them.

Carpenter

Thayer Construction Thayer Construction is a growing full-service design & build construction company located in Corvallis. We manage and construct home remodeling projects. 

Our focus is high-quality interior remodeling; kitchens, bathrooms, basements, bearing walls, whole home renovations, and additions. Our mission is to create beautifully functional spaces and experiences for clients in the Mid-Willamette valley. We value high levels of craftsmanship, a family friendly work environment, and personal accountability.

This is a hands on position that involves all aspects of home remodeling. We’re interested in the type of person who enjoys learning and growth and would want to move forward in their career.

As a first generation company, you as a team member would probably matter more to us than a company whose been in business for 25+ years and has a full bench. We are a young company that has been in business for 6 years now that is still building our ‘dream team’ and would love to have another Outstanding addition.

Requirements:
